Adopt - A - Route

What is Adopt-a-Route?

It’s Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches Corporate Volunteer Program, providing an effective way for companies, organizations, churches and groups to get involved in the community.

Why volunteer?

Doing good and giving back feels good for everyone involved.  Employee volunteerism works because it improves performance, increases job satisfaction and morale, while encouraging teamwork.  Volunteering not only builds brand awareness, but strengthens consumer trust and loyalty.  Recent studies have shown that companies that help employees volunteer with nonprofit organizations could have an advantage recruiting new talent.

How many people from my company, organization or group need to sign-up?

It will depend on how many routes you would like to deliver and is it a “DONE IN A DAY” team building or is it a regular ADOPT A ROUTE?  If you are looking to employees is recommended. This allows each employee to participate once a month.

How do we deliver the meals?

Volunteers use their own cars to pick up their packed meal bags at our kitchen location and begin their route deliveries.

How long is our commitment?

A route takes approximately one hour to complete. A commitment of once a week for at least 6 months is desired, but this can be tailored to fit your organization/company.
